Once that work was complete and Wamo was satisfied with the results (which included 1minus1’s commissioning a small independent third-party to check our conclusions), Wamo commissioned 1minus1 to carry out a User Experience piece that drew out the UX journey, flow and mapped those against user objectives. This then led into 1minus1 taking over the work to design and develop the applications.
The mobile applications we were to create needed to be beautifully designed, highly performant and scalable to millions of users, to match the company’s growth strategy. The redesign of the applications and build of the Android and iOS applications followed, also including a completely new server and Content Management setup that allowed the internal Wamo team to control the mobile applications content and users, and to store the imagery on Amazon in a well-structured and cost-effective manner.
Once launched, as well as continuing to develop new features for the growing audience, 1minus1 then focused on helping Wamo gain users via social channels; helping them grow to over 50,000 users in the process.
1minus1’s work has been instrumental in growing Wamo to become one of the leading competition based social networks in the UK. Jonathan Hill, 1minus1’s Founder has even been named as a Director by Wamo and been involved with helping the company raise its next round of funding via Crowdfunding.
